Lynette E. Leiferman, 66, Pukwana, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m Monday at St. James Catholic Church, Chamberlain. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Pukwana. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church with a 7 p.m. Scripture service. Arrangements are under the direction of Hickey Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain.

She was born on July 11, 1943, at Chamberlain to Laurence and Evalyn (Janik) Holan.
She attended country school in Richland Township and graduated from Kimball High School.
She worked at Tri-County State Bank in Kimball.
On Aug. 22, 1964, she married William J. Leiferman at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Pukwana.
They lived in Kimball until 1971, when they moved to Pukwana.
She continued to work part-time at the bank in Pukwana.
She later became postmaster at Pukwana Post Office, retiring in 2006.
She is survived by her husband, two sons: Kevin and wife Angela, Winner; and Thomas and wife Tanya, Jamestown, N.D.; a daughter, Jill Wellman and husband Ray, Pukwana; four grandchildren, three brothers: Duane Holan and wife Bev, Battle Creek, Neb.; Dean Holan, Norfolk, Neb.; and LaVaun Holan, Chamberlain; a sister, Judene Holan, Pierre; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin; her parents, a brother, Dennis Holan; and a sister, Nelda.
