Marie Clara Hohn, 93, Mitchell, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Prairie View Care Center, Woonsocket.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1916, in Mitchell to Albert and Clara (Hilgendorf) Jenks.
She attended school in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School.
On June 8, 1937, she married Orville Hohn in Mitchell.
She was employed at Lawler Hotel, Westside Café, Stevens Motel and was also a seamstress.
In 1998, she moved to Newland, N.C.
She later returned to Mitchell and she had been a resident of Prairie View Care Center, Woonsocket, since 2005.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She is survived by six children: Veryl, Doris Schneider and Wayne and wife Wanda; all of Mitchell; Joyce Nolz, Galesburg, Ill.; Jennell Henderson and husband Jim; and Sandra Hohn, all of Newland; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law: Viola Jenks, Mitchell; Maxine Hohn, Sioux Falls; and Fern Jenks, Tripp.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, a grandson, two great-grandsons, a great-great-granddaughter and two brothers: Willard and Emery Jenks.
