Leo Claire Gregg, 73, White River, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, in White River.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, White River. Burial will be in White River Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the services at the church today.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home, Winner.

He was born on Feb. 23, 1937, to Cepter and Margaret Gregg.

He was raised on a ranch near White River.

He graduated from White River High School in 1955. He then worked on the family ranch until 1961.

After leaving the ranch, he worked at Nelson Farm, Doniphan, Neb., American Crystal Sugar Beet Factory, Grand Island, Neb.; Aasen Landscaping Company, Minot, N.D. and Gopher Smelting Industry, Minneapolis.

He worked at Homestake Gold Mine in Lead until Nov. 3, 1966, when he was injured in a mining accident.

He then enrolled in Lake Area Vocational Technical School in Watertown.

He graduated in 1970 and then worked as an office equipment technician before he started his own repair shop in White River, which he operated until his retirement in 1996.

He is survived by a brother, Robert and wife Julie, Chamberlain; a sister, Mary Ellen Roth and husband Clair, Minot, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Merle.
