Glenn Larson, 76, Hamill, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Winner Regional Healthcare Center, Winner, of cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Hamill. Burial will be in Hamill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mason Funeral Home, Winner, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Glenn Larson, 76, Hamill, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Winner Regional Healthcare Center, Winner, of cancer.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1933, on the family farm north of Hamill to Theodore and Gertrude (Larsen) Larson.
He attended Gassman School in rural Tripp County through eighth grade.
He then started working on the farm with his father.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1956 and returned with an honorable discharge in June 1958.
He returned to the family farm, where he remained until his death.
On Dec. 27, 1956, he married Barbara Roby.
He was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church and served on many boards.
He was one of the founders of Hamill Horseman Club and a longtime supporter of 4-H Rodeo. He was also a 25-year member of American Quarter Horse Association.
He is survived by his wife, three children: Joan Mayes and husband Melvin, Winner; Dennis and wife Susan, Hamill; and Connie Hanson and husband Jeff, Pierre; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Darrell and wife Fran, Hamill; and two sisters: Velma Yates, Chamberlain; and Fern Zastrow and husband Matt, Sioux Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Robert Yates; and a niece.
