Clarice Dreyer, Witten

Clarice Anna Dreyer, 77, Witten, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Winner Regional Healthcare Long Term Care Facility, Winner.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Witten Hall, Witten.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home, Winner.

She was born on March 21, 1932, to William H. and Ival A. (Lenker) Mason.

She was raised in the Ideal area and attended school there.

In 1948, she married Dale Crofutt.

She married Mark L. Whitaker in 1954.

In 1976, she married Milton Dreyer.

She spent most of her years in Tripp County, working different jobs, including her last one with Carlson Construction, where she operated heavy equipment.

She is survived by her children: Connie Schroeder and husband Bill; Candi, Buzz, Bob and wife Thelma; Cricket, Butch, Tom and Bill Whitaker and wife Cheryl; four stepsons: Phil, Russ and Max Dreyer; and Leif Mylar; 29 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two brothers: Lyle Mason and wife Hazel; and Bus Mason and wife Ellie; two sisters: Shirley Novak and Wanda Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Ted and Bill Mason; an infant brother and two nephews.
