Delores Heying, Ipswich

Delores Eileen Heying, 72, Ipswich, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab, Aberdeen.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ipswich. Burial will be at 2 p.m. MDT at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis.

Delores Eileen Heying, 72, Ipswich, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab, Aberdeen.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ipswich. Burial will be at 2 p.m. MDT at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gramm Funeral Home, Ipswich.

She was born on July 1, 1937, at Mount Vernon to William and Elizabeth (Drafahl) Dahlman.

She attended Witten Elementary School and graduated from Winner High School in 1954.

On Nov. 3, 1955, she married Merlin E. Heying.

They resided in the Winner area until 1978, when they moved to Ipswich.

She worked for several years at Presentation College and Convent, and also did in-home daycare.

She is survived by her sons: Steve and wife Verna, Linton, N.D.; and Dennis and wife Tammy, Broken Bow, Neb.; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother, Bill Dahlman and wife Elaine, Chamberlain; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Shirley; her parents and a sonin-law, Doug.

Memorials are preferred to Edmunds County for A Cure or Hospice.
