Caleb Weber, Pukwana

Caleb Nicholas Weber, 18, Pukwana, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, in a single-car collision with a horse.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Church of Christ, Chamberlain. Burial will be in Pukwana Cemetery, Pukwana. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Hickey-Wevik Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain. There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service at the church today.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1991, in Sioux Falls to Ron and Evie Weber.

He grew up in Watertown, where he attended Watertown Christian School.

He moved with his family to Aberdeen and attended First Baptist Christian School. He was also involved with his church youth group.

In 2006, the family moved near Pukwana.

He attended Chamberlain High School and earned his GED in 2009.

He was enrolled at Southeast Technical Institute, Sioux Falls.

He is survived by his daughter, Adrienne; his parents, a brother, Cameron and wife Joelle, Sioux Falls; his maternal grandparents: Jerome and Helen Larson, Brandon; paternal grandparents: Nick and Mary Weber, Watertown; and many aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund for his daughter has been established at Great Western Bank, Chamberlain.
