Theron Todd Johnson, 40, Mitchell, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at his home in Mitchell.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Mitchell. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Presho Cemetery, Presho. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

He was born on July 6, 1968, in Mitchell to Donald and Avys (Fosness) Johnson.
He grew up on the family farm northeast of Presho.
He graduated from Lyman High School in 1987 and attended Dakota Wesleyan University for a year.
He was an assistant manager at Wesley Acres in Mitchell, and then began his food service career at Casa Del Ray, Sioux Falls, in 1989, where he worked for several years.
In 2005, he and his mother moved to Mitchell and he worked at Ruby Tuesday’s for four years.
He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother; Mitchell; a brother, Douglas and wife Gloria, Presho; two sisters: Julie Plooster and husband Douglas, Mitchell; and Jill Hohn and husband Doug, Dimock; five nieces, seven nephews, aunts and uncles.
A memorial fund has been established.
