This circa 1960 photo shows the KORN-TV and Radio Station that was located on South Highway 37. KORN Television signed on the air for the first time on June 12, 1960, and operated on channel 5, broadcasting NBC-TV programs in color. KORN Radio moved from its studios in the Mitchell National Bank Building, at 217 N. Main St. to the south Highway 37 location in 1959. KORN relocated the radio station to 319 N. Main St. in 1979.
