Empty Bowls fundraiser

Mitchell Career and Technical Academy culinary students, from left: Drew Fredrich, Danny Stolp and Robert Tople, prepare food to make soup Thursday afternoon for the Empty Bowls fundraiser. Empty Bowls is a nationally recognized fundraiser that helps raise money for local food pantries. Mitchell High School crafts classes created the stoneware bowls that will be filled with soup made by the culinary classes. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the MCTEA Building across from the Mitchell High School. The suggested donation is $10, and proceeds will go to the Mitchell food pantry.
