The Mitchell Marlins line up with 10 other teams during the opening ceremony of the PeeWee A state hockey tournament on Saturday at the Mitchell Activities Center. The eighth-seeded Marlins PeeWee A team, whose players range from fifth- to seventh-graders, entered the tournament on a four-game win streak, and opened with an 8-2 win over Sioux Center, Iowa, but then fell 7-3 to Rushmore on Friday. The Marlins went on to lose 6-5 in triple overtime to Sioux Falls West on Saturday, then lost 1-0 to Aberdeen on Sunday morning to finish eighth in the tournament. (Chris Mueller/Republic)
