BACK IN TIME: Three Stooges and Kernel Korn

While in town to perform for the 1961 Corn Palace Festival, the Three Stooges recorded a commercial at the KORN TV Station with Kernel Korn (George Blum) for Karmal Korn, which was made and sold at the World’s Only Corn Palace in Mitchell. Kernel Korn was a children’s show, similar to Captain 11, on KELOland. In typical Three Stooges fashion, they had some fun during the show and popcorn was soon flying everywhere. The Three Stooges did 12 shows at the Corn Palace during the 1961 Corn Palace week. This photo was donated to the Mitchell Area Historical Society by Phillip Blum, son of George Blum. Phillip was in the audience the day this photo was taken. (Photo courtesy of the Mitchell Area Historical Society)
