The Jerauld County sheriff and deputies freed two bucks from an entanglement Sunday afternoon. Sheriff Jason Weber said two bucks got stuck together by their antlers while fighting, and a local rancher reported the incident. Weber said this has happened before, and as in previous situations, law enforcement officials shot the antlers apart. Weber said the officer who shot the antlers stood behind a tree for protection once the deer were separated. (Photo courtesy of Jerauld Co. Sheriff’s Office)
