Rosebud students in video


This frame grab provided to the AP Friday by Steve Elwood shows students at Todd County High School in Mission in a video they created to combat stereotypes about Native Americans. After watching an ABC special about the hardships of growing up on a reservation, several students at the Rosebud Reservation high school worried that American Indian students were being portrayed incorrectly and decided to create a rebuttal, said Elwood, assistant principal at the high school. Students at the school say that behind the attention-grabbing headlines and pictures of reservation life, there’s a rich culture and sense of pride that often goes unnoticed.
