100-year-old engine

Paul Johnson, a South Dakota State University Extension educator, turns one of the flywheels on a 100-year-old stationary engine Tuesday in the SDSU tent on the Dakotafest grounds near Mitchell. The engine is one of only three of its kind still known in existence and was built in Mitchell in 1910 or 1911. (Chris Huber/Republic)
