Bill would publish public employee benefit details

PIERRE — The Senate Local Government Committee has endorsed a bill that would require a county commission, city government or school board to publish on its website the amount paid by the employer for each employee and officer in federal withholdings for Medicare and Social Security, non-professional membership fees and average annual insurance.
