Catching up: Stickney's Assmus takes fourth in first meet for SDSU

Stickney native and South Dakota State junior Shelby Assmus placed fourth out of 26 participants in the women’s weight throw at the Mankato Preseason Open in Mankato, Minn., Saturday with a throw of 16.45 meters.
