Empty feeling: Howard center marks effort to revitalize

A 15-year revitalization effort in Howard culminated in the 2011 dedication of the $6.5 million Maroney Commons. Now the building is vacant, dashing the hopes of some for whom the project was a symbol of rural rebirth.
