Civil Air Patrol, Delta Airlines pilot honored for landing plane safely

RAPID CITY — Maj. Rodney “Buck” DeWeese, of the South Dakota Civil Air Patrol, was recently presented with the Air Line Pilots Association’s International Superior Airmanship Award for his handling of a serious incident after takeoff in Hawaii.
