Mount Vernon gears up for Redneck Days

MOUNT VERNON — Redneck Days is returning to Mount Vernon for a second year. The two-day event Friday and Saturday will raise money for the Mount Vernon American Legion. Mark Meier and Angela Evans created the event in 2011. “Last year, we were able to give the American Legion $8,200 from the event,” Evans said.
