Killer Tomatoes rally to beat Cardinals 8-6

MOUNT VERNON — A six-run ninth inning helped Platte earn its first amateur baseball victory of the season, defeating Mount Vernon 8-6 in Mount Vernon. Myles Kuiper got the win for the Killer Tomatoes, throwing 8 1/3 innings.
