Council prepares to give final approval of sidewalk alcohol service tonight

Final approval of sidewalk liquor sales at downtown restaurants is on the agenda for tonight’s Mitchell City Council meeting. The council is set to hold the second reading of and consider adopting Ordinance 2397, authorizing the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages on sidewalks or walkways. The ordinance passed by a 7-1 vote two weeks ago.
