Hanson earns state berth

With a freshman leading the charge, the Hanson High School boys’ basketball team is headed to its first state basketball tournament since 1989. Hanson’s Jordan Marquardt, a 5-foot-10 guard, scored 16 points and helped slow down Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s senior standout Adam Fink in the Beavers’ 47-38 win in the Region 6B championship Tuesday at the Corn Palace.
