Marlin girls’ JV team takes third at state tourney
YANKTON — The Marlin girls’ junior varsity hockey team took third place in the state tournament on Sunday. For their first game on Friday, the Marlins defeated the Rushmore Thunder 2-1. Bailey Hohn led the Marlins with one goal and one assist. Alexandra Jones added one goal and Cassidy Stucky had one assist. Goalie Cara Beck had seven saves on eight shots. On Saturday, the Marlins lost to the Oahe Capitals 2-0. Beck had 16 saves on 12 shots.By: Sports staff, The Daily Republic
