Proposed grain site by Kimball gets access to rail linePIERRE — Another piece moved into place Wednesday for a new grain-loading terminal planned near Kimball. The State Railroad Board approved an access agreement allowing the facility’s loop track, which will be 8,000 feet long, to connect to the state-owned rail line operated by Dakota Southern. The terminal is planned by Chuck Jepson, of Harrold. He said it will handle about 2.5 million bushels and construction is planned to start this August.
