Wessington Springs celebrates turbine as energy, educational opportunity

Several months after erecting a wind turbine, the Wessington Springs School District held a ribbon cutting Wednesday to welcome a new learning opportunity and energy source. “As we built it, we knew we weren’t going to get it at full scale as we’d set out to do,” said Superintendent Lance Witte prior to the ribbon cutting. “But we’ll capitalize on the educational component.”
