Correction

A story in the Dec. 8 edition incorrectly stated Alan Dixon’s intentions when he violated probation by purchasing a black-powder rifle. Although Dixon admitted he threatened to kill himself with the weapon, he did not initially purchase the rifle with the intention of committing suicide.
