Mitchell Finance Officer Marilyn Wilson said Tuesday that petitions to force a public vote on the issue have to be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 14. The issue is the City Council’s decision to change the zoning for the store at the corner of Foster Street and East First Avenue. The zoning change opens the door to potential beer sales at the location.
