Election puts polling data to test: Rasmussen among most accurate

While Democrats scoffed at its numbers throughout the campaign, Rasmussen Reports’ polls on South Dakota’s two major races were among the most accurate, judging by polling data released during the just-concluded campaign. On Oct. 22, Rasmussen reported that Republican state Rep. Kristi Noem was “slightly further ahead” of incumbent Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D., for the state’s lone seat in the House of Representatives.
