GOP Lt. Gov. Dennis Daugaard elected SD governor

SIOUX FALLS — Republican Lt. Gov. Dennis Daugaard was elected South Dakota’s governor Tuesday, turning back a challenge from Scott Heidepriem, leader of the state Senate’s Democratic minority.
