Curb painting to begin today

Starting today, fresh curb numbers are being painted in Mitchell.
The numbers will be painted on curbs for free, although donations will be accepted. There’s a recommended donation of $7 to $8. Michael Mitchell, of Painters Touch, said residents can decline to have the numbers painted on their curbs.
Mitchell, a Ramona resident, has received city approval to perform the painting. A portion of the proceeds will go to the James Valley Community Center. The painters work exclusively on donations and are not paid by the city government.
