Computer upgrades in county could cost $60,000

The Davison County Commission learned Tuesday that it will cost nearly $60,000 to upgrade about half of the county’s 69 computers and software.
The commissioners set a 9:30 a.m. Feb.16 date for a public supplemental budget hearing to allocate funds for that purpose.
Unless the commissioners decide otherwise, it is likely the commissioners will award an equipment contract between $55,000 to $66,000 to Tech Solutions of Mitchell, which began handling the county’s computer maintenance needs on Jan. 1.
