Golden Eagles run past Chargers

Matt Nielsen’s 26-point performance in an 85-55 win over fifth-ranked Sully Buttes has given the Mitchell Christian boys’ basketball team’s opponents someone else to worry about in an already-potent lineup. The contest at the Corn Palace, which was part of the 28th annual Hanson Classic, was dominated from the start by MCHS, which is ranked third in this week’s Class B poll. Led by two 3-point baskets and eight total points from Nielsen and cold shooting from the Chargers, the Golden Eagles exploded to an 18-2 lead after the first quarter.
