Salvation Army receives $10,000 donation

Already concerned about a stronger need for donations and volunteers this year, Maj. Linda Jones was disappointed when she got the news Wednesday that a Salvation Army benefactor — one who usually provides financial resources for turkeys to be distributed to needy area families — is unable to donate money this year. Jones took a deep breath and said a prayer.
