State corn yield forecast at record high
SIOUX FALLS - South Dakota’s September 1 corn production is forecast at 676.2 million bushels, according to the South Dakota office of USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. The forecast is up 4 percent from last month and up 16 percent from last year’s level. Yield, forecast at 147 bushels per acre, is up 6 bushels from last month’s record high yield forecast.
