Started in 1994, Mitchell Baseball Association has spearheaded local teams' development

On a night that looked to be anything but good baseball weather, Bob Young still showed up for his shift at Cadwell Park. Thursday’s damp, chilly evening brought a small crowd to the state amateur baseball tournament, but Young wasn’t there to watch. Instead, Young — in charge of the 50-50 ticket drawing and bingo card sales — and other members of the Mitchell Baseball Association were at the tournament to continue their efforts on behalf of Mitchell baseball and the young players who participate locally.
