The judge in The Daily Republic’s open-meetings lawsuit against the city of Mitchell rejected four of the city’s defenses Wednesday but also said the newspaper is seeking the wrong kind of legal remedy.Jon Arneson, the Sioux Falls-based attorney for the newspaper, said the lawsuit will continue.
