Swim group mulling options

Parents of swimmers in the Mitchell Aquatic Club last week held a special meeting to discuss a proposal that could close the swimming pool at Mitchell Middle School, but the club has yet to come up with a concrete plan to present to the school board.
MAC coach Chuck Baechler said that with an eye toward procuring possible grant money to support the pool, MAC leadership has contacted the state’s congressional delegates, has begun organizing volunteers and is working to develop any potential funding source.
