Woman sentenced to 14 days in jail for felony child abuse

A Mitchell woman will serve 14 days in the Davison County Jail, a judge ruled Tuesday, for striking a 2-year-old child in June. Carrie Lyn Sear, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of felony child abuse. The incident left the child with a black eye and bruises.
