Sports: Post 18 drops two in Rapid City

The Mitchell Post 18 Legion baseball team lost a pair of games to Rapid City Post 22 teams Friday. Against the Post 22 split squad, Mitchell fell 7-1. Against the full Post 22 team, Mitchell lost 13-0 in five innings. Against the split squad, Cade Hearnen took the loss in a complete-game effort. He gave up seven runs on eight hits. Mitchell had three hits in the game with Nick Wenande getting an RBI single. Mike Larson and Tanner Grove also had singles. Against Post 22, Kirby Oldenkamp took the loss. He gave up nine runs in the first inning. Mitch Grieve came on in relief in the second and third innings and Mike Larson and Dustin Quasney finished up.
