Sports: MHS fills cross country position
Mitchell High Activities Director Scott VanDerMillen has filled his last head-coaching vacancy for next season. The Mitchell School District hired Matthew Corbin as the new head cross country coach for next year at a school board meeting Friday afternoon at Mitchell Technical Institute. Corbin, a native of Oshkosh, Wis., and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, was an assistant cross country coach last year at Berlin (Wis.) High School. Corbin replaces Joe Childs, who resigned earlier this year after accepting the assistant principal position at the middle school.By: Andy Rennecke, The Daily Republic
