Marty school in danger of closing: At least 25 of 39 teachers not coming back for 2007-08 school year

“Tribal politics” have prompted an exodus of the majority of the teaching staff at Marty Indian School, according to Yankton Sioux Tribal Chairman Robert Cournoyer Sr., and without a strong summer of hiring it’s possible the 81-year-old school will close.
