Lakeview renovations give golfers more room to mingle
Golfers have a little more room to get around in the clubhouse this summer at Lakeview Municipal Golf Course, thanks to the first major renovation of the 21-year-old building. A new door on the north wall of the clubhouse leads to a new 36-by-42-foot covered patio with tables and chairs. Golfers can congregate there after tournaments and group outings, rather than clog up the clubhouse and the smaller existing patio on the building’s southeast side. The clubhouse interior has new paint, tiling, cabinets and countertops, plus some new concessions hardware. Unused space in the locker rooms has been reclaimed for storage and an office. That, in turn, has freed up more space in the main part of the clubhouse for merchandise sales.By: Seth Tupper, The Daily Republic
