Sports: Spartan pride

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Molly Kopfmann has run head-to-head against Gayville-Volin’s Emma Erickson once before. However, that result didn’t turn out well for the Wessington Springs junior long-distance runner. Kopfmann, the defending Class B 1,600-meter champion, has the second-best time in the event this year with a 5:30.40. Erickson has the best time with a 5:22.10.
