Opinion: Iraqi parliament: Come to Cape Cod

The Iraqi parliament is planning to take July and August off. The idea of closing up shop and going on vacation in the middle of a military surge with your government hanging by a thread is, of course, outrageous. Who do these people think they are, the United States Congress? The reason this hasn’t become a bigger issue is because those in a position to complain — the United States Congress and the president — are not on what you would call firm footing when it comes to criticizing anyone’s time-off plans.
