Homicide trial opens in Springs

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Alpena bar owner Elroy Wieting was trying to escort a Missouri man from his bar when Wieting was hit in the chest and later died, a prosecutor said during the opening day of the trial of Paul R. Burns.
