Sports: Golden Eagles head to title game

Aside from its two-leading scorers of Ben Friesen and Jared Odens, Mitchell Christian always has had someone else step up to the plate this season. Friday in the Golden Eagles’ semifinal matchup against Sully Buttes, they had two. Pat Geraets led the Golden Eagles with 14 points and nine rebounds and Alex Borman added 12 as MCHS advanced to tonight’s Class B title game with a 52-35 win over the Chargers at the Barnett Center. MCHS is now 24-1 while the Chargers fall to 20-5. The Eagles beat Sully Buttes 72-63 earlier in the season on Feb. 5 at the Huron Arena.
