Thune pushes for ethanol-blend gasoline

John Thune hopes motorists across the country will soon be able to fill their gasoline tanks with a 20 percent ethanol blend. The Republican U.S. senator from South Dakota sent a letter last week to the Environmental Protection Agency urging it to begin advance work on an expected waiver application from Minnesota. The application, if approved, could allow the sale of 20 percent ethanol blends, or “E-20,” in that state.
