Sports: Pirates take fifth for second straight year

HURON — Avon used defense and a strong third-quarter push to defeat Summit 42-32 to win the consolation championship at the Class B state girls’ basketball tournament Saturday. It’s the second straight year that Avon defeated Summit in the consolation title game.
