Voters to decide fate of ‘3B’ tax in Winner

WINNER — A tax proposal passed by the Winner City Council will come to a public vote April 10. The proposed “bed, board and booze” tax, originally adopted Feb. 5, would require motels, restaurants and bars to charge a 1 percent sales tax on top of the city’s regular 2 percent sales tax and the state’s 4 percent sales tax.
